French Film Director,Alain Resnais, Dies At 91

Paris, France  : Alain Resnais,acclaimed French filmmaker who spent more than six decades in his career, died on Mar. 1,2014 at hospital in Paris. He was 91. He was best known for his films which included "Night and Fog (1955) ".

Ariel Sharon,Israel's Ex-PM,Dies At 85

Tel Hashomer, Israel : Ariel Sharon,the 11th Prime Minister of Israel, who spent half century as a giant military and political leader in Israel, died on Jan. 11,2014 at Sheba Medical Center in the Tel Aviv suburb of Tel Hashomer,due to heart failure. He was 85.It is mentioned that Sharon suffered a stroke on 4 January 2006 and was left in coma until his death 8 years later.

Amiri Baraka Dies With Diabetes,At Age 79

Newark, New Jersey : Amiri Baraka,an African American poet and playwright of pulsating rage, who was a primary intellectual architect of the Black Arts movement of the 1960s, died on Jan. 9,2014 at Beth Israel Medical Center hospital in Newark. He was 79.It is mentioned that Baraka had a long struggle with diabetes for 1 month prior to his death in I.C.U.
