Amiri Baraka Dies With Diabetes,At Age 79

Newark, New Jersey : Amiri Baraka,an African American poet and playwright of pulsating rage, who was a primary intellectual architect of the Black Arts movement of the 1960s, died on Jan. 9,2014 at Beth Israel Medical Center hospital in Newark. He was 79.It is mentioned that Baraka had a long struggle with diabetes for 1 month prior to his death in I.C.U.
